What is the one thing that we all love to receive? If you answered gifts you would have guessed right. We all love to receive gifts whether it is through the mail or during the Christmas season. Some people actually love to give gifts more than they like receiving them. It is human nature to want to pleasure someone through the act of gift giving. Children always want more gifts than they get because they are bombarded by retail companies that tell them about the newest toys. You can debate whether it is ethical or not to give your child whatever gifts they want, that is up to you to decide. Why do people give gifts anyway? Some people do it because they want to impress someone or in some cases apologise. It is fairly common for couples to give each other gifts during romantic occasions and when they want to make up for something. Some people give each other gifts as a sign of good gesture. Family members exchange gifts with one another quite frequently for birthdays and other social gatherings. It is fairly common to give and receive gifts on numerous occasions throughout a calendar year. It is up to you to decide if you want to give someone a gift or not but just remember that the act of giving is sometimes valued more than the act of receiving.
